Go to the login Web page of your website’s hosting account, then enter your username and password to log in.

Click the “phpBB” option under the “Software/Services” (or equivalent) section in your hosting control panel.

Click the checkbox next to “Do not delete the /install/ directory.” This will prevent your database information from the phpBB2 version of the software from being deleted. Click the “Install” button. The next screen will show you the Settings information from your current phpBB2 software setup. You should not need to enter any new information on this screen.

Click the “Begin Conversion” button. The system will then automatically convert your phpBB2 software to the phpBB3 version.
