How to Make Your Entrance at a Beach Wedding
Beach weddings incorporate the beautiful natural backdrop of sand and water into your special day. Since beaches provide a naturally scenic location for your ceremony, making an elegant entrance will not require a lot of work. A few creative ideas can add a personal touch to your entrance and make it memorable and unique.

1
Wear flats, slip-ons or go barefoot! Some brides make the mistake of wearing heels to their beach wedding, making the walk down the aisle a very difficult one. Skip the heels to make your entrance more graceful and comfortable.

2
Set up a tent or curtained area. If your beach location does not provide a place where you can stay without being seen before your entrance, setting up a small tent for yourself and your bridesmaids will let you stay cool and give you a place to "hide" before the big moment.

3
Define your aisle by lining it with decorative candles, lanterns, tiki torches or seashells. Because a beach lacks the conventional aisle provided by a church or wedding hall, defining your pathway with decorative touches will let your guests know where to expect your entrance and will visually delineate the ceremony area. If you wish to have a white runner marking your path, be sure to level the sand before laying it down.

Scatter exotic flower petals along your path. Use colors that complement your bouquet. This will add a delicate, elegant touch to your entrance and incorporate your wedding colors into your ceremony.

Tips & Warnings
To make them look more festive, you can decorate your slip-ons or flats with flowers that match your bouquet.
A beach wedding means spending many hours in the sun. To avoid sunburns for you and your guests, consider having your ceremony in the evening or offering your guests parasols. Either way, wear plenty of sunscreen or a foundation with a high SPF.
