Make a contemporary design. Hang a sunburst mirror on the wall behind the console table. Choose a mirror with a silver-toned frame and a bold, chunky frame. Set a crystal-based lamp on either side of the console table surface. Top each lamp with a drum shade in a geometric-patterned fabric for an added touch of modern flair. Finish the hallway console decoration with a colorful, oblong bowl in the middle to hold keys and other items.

Create a Boho Chic console. Frame a large, vintage map in a distressed wood frame, and hang on the wall area behind the console.
