Traditional kippot are often made from velvet, silk or suede.

Kippot, the plural of kippah, is the Hebrew name for the skullcaps worn by Jewish men and sometimes women. Frequently known by their Yiddish name, yarmulkes, these skullcaps often portray ornate designs and details. Making your own kippah from wire and beads creates a unique style and allows you to add some of your own taste and personality to your kippah. This can also be an inexpensive way to make your own kippot or a fun craft for kids to help design their own kippot.

Begin adding beads onto the end of the wire, wrapping the wire around as you work. Add the beads in any order you desire.
