How to Make a Steampunk Eye Patch

1
Cover the eye patch with a layer of copper foil. Glue the foil to the inside surfaces of the patch, if necessary, to hold it in place. If a standard eye patch cannot be found, cut a triangle shape out of a sheet of cardboard with a hole punched in two of the corners; use a length of fabric elastic band for the strap.

2
Cut a half-inch wide strip of brass foil and glue it around the perimeter of the eye patch to frame it.

3
Cut out a small triangle with each side measuring about three-quarter inches from a sheet of cardboard. Wrap the cardboard triangle with a small amount of aluminum foil and then glue it onto the center of the eye patch.

4
Wrap the strap with alternating strips of brass, copper and aluminum foil. Cut thin (half-inch wide) strips of the three foils, then wrap the eye patch strap with them to create a steampunk-colored strap that will secure the eye patch to the head of the wearer.

Tips & Warnings
Consider cutting small holes or slots in the eye patch to allow the wearer to still see out of the eye that is covered with the patch.
