How to Knit a Scarf for a Little Girl
Little girls love colors and anything soft and fuzzy. You can knit a quick and easy scarf using either fun fur acrylic yarns or soft baby yarns. The first choice will make a fun fashion scarf while the second will make a functional yet snuggly warm scarf in soft pastels.

1
Cast 12 stitches onto your needle.

2
Knit every row in a garter stitch with your fun fur, using the entire skein of yarn.

3
Knit a basket weave pattern as an alternative pattern to the garter stitch. Using the baby yarn, alternate knitting and purling every four stitches all the way across for row 1. You will switch this around for row 2 to purl four stitches and then knit four stitches, alternating across. Repeat rows 1 and 2 once.

For row 5, purl four stitches, then knit four stitches, again alternating across. Row 6 will be just the opposite. Repeat rows 5 and 6 once.
-
5
Repeat the entire pattern to the end of your scarf and bind off.
-
6
Make a knot of the ends of your scarf for a very cute finish.
