How to Replace Colors in Macromedia Fireworks
Those that want to change a color in an image can find the tool needed in Adobe Fireworks. The graphics program is used primarily to create Web graphics. However, users have found many uses for the program including kiosk graphics and embedded displays. Using the color replace tool users can identify a specific color in the image and paint over the area to replace only that color.

Open the image that you want to edit. Select the "Color Replace" tool from the toolbar. You may need to open the drop-down menu for the "Rubber Stamp" tool to find it.

Click the "From" color box. This will bring up a swatch panel. Use your mouse to select the color in the image and hit "Enter."

Click the "To" color box. If the color you want to change to is not already in the image click the color ball to select your desired color. Otherwise, select the color from the image and hit "Enter."

Adjust the size and shape of the paint brush as desired. Paint the area where you want to change the color. The tool will replace only the selected "From" color in the image.

Tips & Warnings
You can also adjust the "Tolerance," "Strength," and "Colorize" options of the paint brush in the "Attributes" section.
