How to Activate Push Notices in the Friendly Facebook App for the iPad
When you install the Facebook application on your iPad, the application will automatically modify your iPad's settings menu to allow for the receipt of push notifications from the Facebook application. A push notification informs you when a certain Facebook event occurs. You can activate these push notifications for the Facebook application directly from your iPad's Settings menu.

Tap the "Settings" icon.

Scroll-down, and tap the "Facebook" button.

Select the "Push Notifications" option.

Slide the switches to the right to the "On" position for the events you would like to receive push notifications for. You can choose to receive push notifications for messages, wall posts, friend requests, friend confirmations, photo tags, events, comments, place tags and nearby friends.
