How to Use Tanning Bronzer Evenly

Use bronzer to give your face a sun-kissed appearance.

When summer arrives, most people want to get at least a hint of a tan. If hours in the sun or visits to a tanning bed aren’t your thing, you can still get sun-kissed skin. Bronzer is makeup that is intended to give your face a tanned and radiant appearance. It can be purchased in either powder or cream form. Using the powder form with a makeup brush gives a smooth, natural appearance. When applying bronzer, think about where the sun naturally hits your face when you go outside and apply the bronzer to those areas.

Things You'll Need

• Bronzer
• Medium, round makeup brush

Instructions

1. Open the bronzer and swirl the brush over the surface of it to coat each part of the brush. Tap the brush on the back of your hand to remove any excess bronzer.

2. Sweep the brush from temple to temple near your hairline.

3. Sweep the brush from the apple of one cheek to the apple of the other cheek, hitting the bridge of your nose on your way across.

4. Sweep the brush on the top of your jaw line and on your collarbone. Be sure to sweep some color on the nape of your neck if your hair is not covering your neck.

Tips & Warnings

• For the rest of your makeup, choose warm tones such as bronze, peach and pink to make the bronzer look more natural.
