How to Make a Tricot Wrap
The Tricot wrap is a baby sling made of jersey that can fit you and your baby comfortably from birth until age 2. There are many different ways to wrap the long piece of fabric around your body to give your baby comfort and relieve some of the stress your body experiences when you carry your baby in your arms. Make your own sling wrap with a length of jersey fabric and a few well-placed stitches.

1
Cut an 18 x 2 1/2-foot piece of jersey fabric.
-
2
Fold down all edges of the length of fabric one-quarter inch, pin in place and sew. Remove pins.

3
Fold down all edges one inch in the same direction, pin in place and sew with a 5/8-inch seam. Remove pins.
-
4
Fold the fabric in half length-wise so that the strip is now only nine feet long. Mark the center on one edge and unfold. Sew an embroidery patch on the top edge where you marked the center point. You will need to find the center of the wrap for each use, and this patch makes it simple to do.
