How to Lighten Your Goatee

Whether lightening your goatee to hide the gray or just for a different look, you do not have to waste time and money at a salon because you can do it in the privacy of your own home and emerge a sharper-looking man. When lightening your goatee, use a top-of-the-line product like Just for Men or any bleaching kit found in your local drugstore.

Things You'll Need

• Facial-hair lightening or bleaching kit
• Towel

Instructions

Comb it in & Wash it out

1. Wash and trim your goatee prior to bleaching it. Pat it dry with a towel and then gather everything in your lightening kit before beginning the lightening process.

2. Mix the liquid lighteners in the provided tray. Comb it into your dry goatee by brushing the comb up and down, completely coating each hair with the hair lightener. Let it sit for the recommended amount of time -- five minutes if using Just For Men.

3. Take a shower and shampoo your beard to get all of the product out of your goatee. Because lightening your hair weakens it, remember to condition your beard after shampooing it to help it stay smooth and strong.
