How to Adjust the Thermostat for a GE Oven

The thermostat on an oven does not necessarily reflect the temperature you set the oven to with the oven controls. Luckily, there is a way to adjust the thermostat on your General Electric oven.       Set your GE oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit and place the oven thermometer into the oven. Remove the thermometer when the oven reaches the set temperature to see how far off your oven is from the actual temperature where it should be.

      Press the “Bake” and “Broil Hi/Lo” buttons at the same time until “SF” appears on the display.

      Press “Bake” until a two-digit number appears.

      Press the “+” to increase the number and the “-“ button to decrease the number by up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

      Press “Start.”
