How to Enlarge Text in InDesign CS5
Typesetters who use InDesign to create electronic documents work with dozens of text commands to size and fit copy to make it aesthetically pleasing on the page. A typesetter can work most efficiently if she uses the commands from the keyboard. One of the most commonly used functions to edit text in InDesign is the ability to quickly re-size type to fit a certain size column or design on the page.

Start InDesign. Create a new document by selecting "New" from the "File" menu. Select your document preferences on the "New Document' dialog window, such as page size and number of columns on the page. Click "OK."

Select the Text tool in the Tool palette. Click your mouse on the page; then drag it from upper left to lower right to create the text box. Type your text at the blinking cursor.

Highlight the text you want to enlarge. Hold down the "Shift+ Control" keys with your left hand, and then tap ">" with your right hand to increase the size of the text by two points with each tap. For Mac, hold down "Command + Shift " and then tap ">." you can also highlight the text, and then use the "Up" arrow next to the "T" in the control palette to increase the type size, or type in the numeric value if you know what size you want.

Tips & Warnings
Decrease the text size by using "Shift+ Control" with your left hand, and then tapping "<" or "Command + Shift" + "<" for Mac.
