How to Get Skype on My Acer

Skype is an online service that features video chat, voice chat, and the ability to make local and long-distance calls. Though it's one of the more popular programs developed for Windows, Skype does not come pre-installed on most computers. You can get Skype on your Acer PC by downloading the latest version of the program from the official Skype website.

Instructions

1. Launch a Web browser and navigate to the Skype website (www.skype.com).

2. Click "Get Skype," then click "Get Skype for Windows." Click "Download Skype."

3. Select "Open" or "Run" from the pop-up window to download and launch the Skype installer.

4. Select your language options from the drop-down menu, then click "I Agree - Install" to install Skype to your Acer PC.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions following installation to set up a Skype account.
