How to Make a Room Spritzer
It’s refreshing to walk into a room and smell a fragrant aroma, and you don’t have to use store-bought air fresheners to get that fresh scent. Instead, try making your own room spritzer at home. Not only is homemade room spritzer better for the environment -- no aerosol cans or toxic chemicals -- you can customize the scent to match your preference. Does this Spark an idea?

Pour 1 cup of vodka into a clean spray bottle. Add 1 cup of water.

Add 20 to 30 drops of your favorite essential oil. Choose any single oil or blend that suits your taste.

Spritz the mixture throughout the room. Avoid spraying it directly onto finished wood surfaces. The oils or alcohol may take off the varnish.

Tips & Warnings
Any essential oil fragrance will do, but some good options include 15 drops each of lavender and grapefruit oils; 10 drops of clove oil, 15 drops of orange oil and 12 drops of cinnamon oil; or 20 drops of any single oil like pine, citrus, rosemary or eucalyptus.
Homemade room spritzer also works well at freshening linens. Spritz the spray onto your bed sheets, too.
