How to Make a Snapset Birthstone Wire Ring

Check an existing ring to determine the size you will make the wire ring by placing a piece of stiff cardboard inside the ring to get the right diameter.

Wrap the wire around the cardboard three times to form the ring. Leave even tails at each end of the wire.

Bend the tails of the wire out to the side.

Twist the wire with a pair of small plier around the ring three times.

Bend the tails of the wire up to the top of the ring. Shape the ends of the tails to match the size of the birthstone.

File the ends of the wire using an emery board until they are smooth.

Place the birthstone face down and press the ring onto it until it clicks into place between the ends of the wire. Tighten the wire using the pliers to ensure that the stone stays in place.
