Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cellular Phone Accessories
  • Cellular Phones
  • Cellular Phone Handsfree Car Kits
  • Cellular Phone Headsets
  1. Step 1

Turn the phone on (press the PWR button on some phones). Make sure the batteries are charged or that the phone is plugged into the charger.

  2. Step 2

Dial the number as you would on a normal phone.

  3. Step 3

Press the Send key (usually a green key marked SND).

  4. Step 4

Wait for ringing. Let the person on the other end say hello.

  5. Step 5

    Speak normally.

  6. Step 6

Press the End key (it's usually red) to hang up.

  7. Step 7

Answer a ringing cellular phone by pressing the Send key as well. On some models, just flip open the phone cover to answer.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have call-waiting, press the Send key to answer an incoming call, then press it again to return to the original caller.
  • Consult your phone's manual, as instructions vary according to model. Your manual can also tell you about special features such as number storage, customized rings and games.
  • If your phone is repeatedly losing service or providing poor reception, try replacing or recharging the batteries. If that fails, contact your cell phone provider.
  • Use the area code when dialing a number outside the phone's original area code, even if the call is local.
  • Use of cellular phones while driving can increase the risk of accidents.

on 5/6/2008 You may want to check out the free videos at www.Cellphonist.com for topics like how to save a phone number, how to send a text message, how to get weather using Google and so on. Each video is specific to a phone and wireless provider so there's not guessing whether general instructions will work on your phone. Not all phones are covered but popular ones like the Motorola RAZR V3 with AT&T are.

on 11/22/2005 Most wireless carriers provide caller ID which list the number and/or name of the calling party. This is one of the best ways to help cut overage. Not every cellular call is important; let some go to voicemail. Ask your sales rep for availabilty.
