How to Block a Phone Number on a Samsung Fascinate

The Samsung Fascinate allows you to block incoming calls from specific numbers, and block your caller ID number on outgoing calls. When a blocked person calls you, the phone will transmit the call directly to voice mail without ringing. When you block caller ID on your outgoing calls, the person will receive a message that says Private or Restricted, depending on their local carrier.

Blocking Incoming Calls

  Tap the "Contacts" icon from the main screen of the Fascinate.

  Touch the contact you want to block. If the number is not saved as a contact, click "Create contact" and add the phone number.

  Touch the contact and check the "Send to voicemail" box.

  Touch "OK" to confirm.
Blocking Numbers on Outgoing Calls

  Open the dial pad screen.

  Enter "*67" followed by the number you want to call.

  Touch "Send" to send the call.

Tips & Warnings

If the person has blocked the caller ID on an incoming call, the call will still ring through.
Some carriers allow you to block specific numbers through settings on the network. Check with your carrier to see if you have this option.
Blocking caller ID does not work when you call emergency services or toll-free numbers.
