Beauty treatments like facial scrubs can be very expensive at your local spa. Even when you purchase them at a department store, boutique or beauty supply store to apply at home, they can be pricey. Salt is one of the best natural exfoliators, and it's also very inexpensive. It is simple to make your own facial salt scrub using ingredients right out of your kitchen cupboard. Things You'll Need

  • Salt
  • Lemon
  • Honey
  • Sugar
  • Vegetable oil
  • Liquid soap

Instructions

      Pour 1 cup of salt into a bowl with 1 cup of vegetable oil and 1 cup of liquid soap. Mix thoroughly and use on your face as a scrub.

      Pour the juice of half a lemon together in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of salt. Add white sugar until the mix is thick but not dry. Apply the mixture to a damp face and leave on for two to three minutes. Massage the scrub on your face in short circular motions. Rinse with cool water.

      Mix 2 tablespoons of salt with 1 tablespoon of olive oil or dark honey in a bowl to make a paste. Apply this to the skin and massage in small circular motions. Rinse with cool water.

      Mix one part salt with one part honey and apply to your face. Leave the mixture on your skin for five minutes, then begin to slowly massage it in. Rinse with cool water when your skin begins to tingle.

Tips & Warnings

  • Although the ingredients are natural, you should still keep them away from your eyes to avoid redness and stinging.
