How to Make Homemade Serving Trays

Rimmed cookie sheets make elegant serving trays.

Shiny new rimmed cookie sheets are a great starting place for homemade serving trays. These trays have plenty of room for serving anything from breakfast in bed to fancy party appetizers. The tray can be coordinated to any style of decor with careful fabric selection and a matched pair of these trays can be placed side by side on army cot for an eclectic coffee table. You can special order plexiglass cut to size from glass cutters.

Things You'll Need

• New rimmed cookie sheet
• Ruler
• 1/4-yard fabric
• Scissors
• Spray adhesive
• Plexiglass cut to size

Instructions

1. Measure the inside surface of the rimmed cookie sheet.

2. Cut a piece of fabric to the above measurements with the scissors.

3. Spray the adhesive on the inside bottom surface of the cookie sheet. Press the fabric on the adhesive, moving from one long edge to the next, carefully.

4. Cover the fabric with the plexiglass.
