How to Keep Powder Foundation Off Your Clothes
Powder foundation is loose powder you apply to your face with a makeup brush. Powder foundation is an alternative to liquid foundation, which can make your makeup appear cakey and artificial. Unfortunately, if you are not careful, loose bits of the powder can fall or rub off on your clothes, creating stains and sometimes ruining your clothing. However, if you use caution when applying your powder foundation, you can keep makeup off your clothes and on your face. Does this Spark an idea?

Change into your clothing before applying your makeup. Being fully dressed prior to putting on your makeup will prevent any makeup rubbing off on your shirt as you pull it over your head. If you are wearing a button-down shirt, or other article of clothing that buttons in the front, it may not be necessary to get fully dressed before applying powder.

Tap loose powder off the makeup brush to remove any excess powder. You can tap the end of the brush on the side of the powder makeup container, so you will not waste any unused powder. This prevents excess powder from falling on your clothing.

Drape a towel over the top portion of your clothing to protect your shirt from any falling powder. After you finish applying your makeup, remove the towel.

Rinse your hands with water and towel them dry before touching your clothes. If you have any powder foundation remaining on your hands, you will not wipe it on your clothing.

Wash your face prior to taking off your clothes. This prevents powder foundation from rubbing on your shirt as you pull it over your head.
