How to Forward Email to an AT&T Phone

Forwarded emails are received within seconds on an AT&T phone.

Most AT&T cellphones can receive forwarded emails. If the phone includes cellular data, the recipient can download the email message and read it from his phone. The email message is forwarded to the recipient's mobile email address. The email address is based on the recipient's mobile phone number and the SMS gateway. The gateway functions like a domain in an email address. When you forward an email to an AT&T customer, it is free to you, but the recipient may be charged for data or messaging usage.

Instructions

1. Open the email that you want to forward to the AT&T phone.

2. Click “Forward” in the top menu containing management options for the message.

3. Enter the AT&T customer's mobile phone email address. The email address is his 10-digit mobile phone number followed by “@txt.att.net.” For instance, enter [e-mail].

4. Click “Send” to forward the email to the AT&T customer. A confirmation message is displayed after the message is sent.
