Instructions

  1. Painted Design

    • 1

Clean the wine glass completely using a damp cloth. Remove any dust or lines within the glass with the cloth. Set it to dry when you are done cleaning it. Do not start decorating the glass until it is completely dry.

    • 2

Paint a design of choice on the outer side of the wine glass using the small paintbrush and the various paint colors of choice. Keep in mind that glass paints come in opaque and transparent colors, which may affect how you design your glasses. For example, paint a red flower with a yellow center that has a green stem going down the stem of the wine glass and circles around the foot of the glass. Use opaque paint for a bold design and transparent for a subtle design.

    • 3

Let the glass dry before putting it to use. Do not paint the inside of the glass and avoid adding paint close to the rim of the glass, as drinkers do not want to put their lips on the paint when enjoying a glass of wine.

    Temporary Design

    • 4

Wrap the stem of an artificial flower around the stem of the wine glass for a temporary design that is easily removed if you wish to use the wine glasses for other designs down the road.

    • 5

Cut the stems of artificial flowers or artificial leaves with the scissors, if the stems are too long for each individual wine glass.

    • 6

Apply a small dab of crafting glue underneath the flower or petals and press them onto the glass to keep the flower or leaf in place. Crafting glue can easily be removed with hot water once the glasses are no longer in use. Avoid placing the leaves or flowers close to the rim of the glass, so people do not suck on them as they enjoy the wine.
