How to Put Custom Songs on "Guitar Hero 2"

"Guitar Hero" is a music-based video game.

"Guitar Hero" is a music video game that can be used on Sony Playstation 3 (PS3), Nintendo Wii or Xbox 360. "Guitar Hero 2" was released in 2006. Since then, three newer versions have been released. Version 2 of the software has a set list of 48 songs. Users cannot legally download any additional songs on the "Guitar Hero 2" version; however, "Guitar Hero 3" and newer versions do have the capability to add custom songs to the software. Users must purchase these custom songs from specific Internet music libraries.

Instructions

Customizing "Guitar Hero 3" on PS3

1. Connect your PS3 to your wireless broadband Internet connection or by a cable. The PS3 should automatically pick up the signal.

2. Turn on your PS3 and select the Playstation Network icon on the main menu and sign up for a Playstation Network account.

3. Add funds to your Playstation Network account, which is called your "wallet," in increments of $10, $20 and $50.

4. Select the "Redeem Points" option. Browse available tracks and select the track or tracks that you would like to add to "Guitar Hero." Then select "Buy Now" and "Confirm."

Customizing "Guitar Hero 3" on Wii

1. Turn on your Wii. On the main menu, click on the Wii icon, "Wii Settings," and then "Wii System Settings."

2. Select the blue arrow and then choose "Internet," "Connection Settings," and "Wireless Connection." Then select "Search for an access point" to find your wireless signal.

3. Select "Wii Shop Channel" on the main menu. Agree or disagree to the terms of agreement. Then select "Start Shopping" and "Add Wii Points." Select "Buy Wii points with a credit card." Choose the number of points you would like to buy and enter your credit card information.

4. Select the option to "Redeem Points." Browse through the library of tracks and choose the songs you would like to add to "Guitar Hero."

Customizing "Guitar Hero 3" on Xbox 360

1. Connect your Xbox 360 to your wireless broadband Internet connection or by a cable. The device should automatically pick up the signal.

2. Sign in to your Xbox Live account on the main menu and select "Xbox Live Marketplace." Select "Add Microsoft Points" and choose the number of points you would like to add. Enter your credit card information.

3. Browse the tracks and select the song(s) you wish to purchase and confirm.
