1
Wash your hair and dry it with a towel so that it is damp but not soaking wet. Comb through your hair to remove any tangles.
-
2
Take a small section of your damp hair and roll it up into a curl until you reach the scalp.
-
-
3
Pin the curl of hair at the scalp using a bobby pin or two. You can fasten the hair down using an "x" shape with the bobby pins for an extra secure hold. Repeat this process with the rest of your hair, separating it into sections, curling up to the scalp and securing with pins.
-
4
Cover your pinned hair with a hairnet to protect it. Allow the hair to dry for about eight hours, preferably leaving the pins in while you sleep.
-
5
Remove the pins carefully and use your fingers to adjust the loose hair. If you find any sections that didn't curl correctly, you can fix them by rolling them on a hot curling iron.
-
6
Apply mousse or hairspray to tame the hair and get rid of any flyaway strands.

Tips & Warnings
Don't roll you hair into pins if it is still very wet. This will cause your hair to take much longer to dry.
Don't handle the curls too much right after you remove the pins, or your hair will have loose waves instead of tight curls.
Use caution when using a hot curling iron.
