How to Make Hair Infusion Oil at Home
If you are looking for a way to add moisture and vitality to your hair, you can use a homemade hair oil infusion. Hair oil infusions can be used as daily moisturizers, hot oil treatments or as a last-minute additive to your hair conditioner. Oil infusions combine a variety of natural herbs and oils to combat dry and damaged hair. Things You'll Need
- 10 ounce glass jars with caps, 2
- 1/4 cup fresh rosemary
- 1/4 cup fresh sage
- 1/4 cup horsetail herb
- 8 ounces jojoba oil
- Small funnel
- Small strainer

Remove the cap from a 10-ounce glass jar.

Pour 1/4 cup fresh rosemary into the jar.

Add 1/4 fresh sage into the jar.

Add 1/4 cup horsetail herb into the glass jar.

Pour 8 ounces jojoba oil into the glass jar.

Replace the cap onto the jar. Place the jar in a window sill and let it sit for two to three weeks.

Put a small funnel into the opening of a second 10-ounce glass jar. Place a small strainer on top of the funnel.

Pour the oil infusion through the strainer and into the second glass jar. Once all of the oil has been transferred into the second jar, the process is complete.

Store the oil infusion at room temperature.

Tips & Warnings
Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to personalize the scent of the infusion.
Be sure to strain the oil properly before use. If the oil is used before completing the straining process, small pieces of herbs may become visible in the hair.
