Rid the Jet Ski of any unneeded weight by emptying storage bins of nonessential items.

Add a gasoline additive to the Jet Ski once every few weeks; this will help clean out fuel lines and give the Jet Ski a performance boost.

Open the engine compartment, remove the spark plug wire and take remove the plug with a spark plug wrench. Replace the spark plug if it is fouled.

Perform regular, scheduled maintenance as specified by the manufacturer; this includes oil changes and regular checks of the air and fuel filters. Change the filters when they are dirty.
