Jet Ski enthusiasts enjoy traveling at high speeds across the water, and there are measures that can you can take at home to get even more speed out of your Jet Ski -- minor repairs and preventative maintenance -- which are inexpensive and do not require a lot of time or experience.

• Spark plug wrench
• Replacement spark plug
• Gas additive

Instructions

1. Rid the Jet Ski of any unneeded weight by emptying storage bins of nonessential items.

2. Add a gasoline additive to the Jet Ski once every few weeks; this will help clean out fuel lines and give the Jet Ski a performance boost.

3. Open the engine compartment, remove the spark plug wire and take remove the plug with a spark plug wrench. Replace the spark plug if it is fouled.

4. Perform regular, scheduled maintenance as specified by the manufacturer; this includes oil changes and regular checks of the air and fuel filters. Change the filters when they are dirty.
