How to Make an Ungathered Wedding Veil
A wedding veil that is not gathered or bunched, or a "drop cut wedding veil," falls over the head of the bride and typically shrouds her shoulders, neck, hair and face. A drop veil may consist of several layers of tulle or a single layer, depending on the climate and the bride's desires. The bride's height and the desired length of the veil determine the amount of tulle needed. All items to create a drop veil can be found in craft stores. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Purchase tulle according to the desired size of the wedding veil. A diameter of 30 inches of tulle will create a shoulder-length drop wedding veil, while a 35-inch diameter of tulle will create a waist-length drop wedding veil. A 72-inch or greater diameter can create a cascading veil that drapes the floor, depending on the bride's height. Taller brides, such as those standing usually need a few extra inches of tulle to get the veil to fall at the desired place.

Use scissors to cut out a circle of tulle. Cut out multiple layers, if desired. Reserve extra tulle in the event of a mistake or if you desire extra embellishments made from tulle. Arrange the layers atop one another and sew the layers together using white thread. Sew through the center of each circle, which will rest atop the bride's head, to make the thread less obvious.
