How to Clean Baked-on Grease on a Flat Stove Top
Baked-on grease is enough to make any cook growl in frustration. If you have a flat top stove, your appliance is probably usually easy to clean. However, when oily substances become hot from the burners and aren't cleaned right away, they often create a hard residue on the cooktop. Remove burned-on grease from your flat top stove by using cleaning products that will cut through the residue without damaging the surface of your stove. Does this Spark an idea?

Squirt several drops of liquid stove top cleaner directly onto the residue and wait for 10 minutes as the cleaner soaks in.

Scrape away excess residue by holding a razor blade scraper at a 45 degree angle and gently chipping away the burnt grease.

Wipe off the loosened residue with a cloth that has been moistened in hot, soapy water.

Wipe the area dry.

Squirt several drops of the stove top cleaner onto a paper towel and wipe the entire cook top. Wait five to 10 minutes for the cleaner to dry.

Wipe off the cleaner with a clean, dry paper towel. Use small, circular motions to bring a shine to the stove.
