DIY: Cowl Scarf Pins
Cowl scarf pins, also known as hijab pins, are needles that hold a cowl scarf in place while adding a bit of accessorized flare. Pins can be purchased online or in stores, but you might enjoy creating your own cowl scarf pins. Making your own pins will allow you to maintain creative control over the appearance of your pin, as well as having an interesting topic of conversation when somebody compliments your pin.

1
Decide on the design for your cowl scarf pin by selecting beads and placing them on the plain scarf pins. Remember that the pin cannot be completely covered in beads, since there must be enough room for the pin to fit through the cowl scarf. Leave at least two-thirds of the pin empty so that it slides through the cowl scarf.
-
2
Remove the beads from the pin once you are comfortable with the final design. Place a dab of crafting glue on the pin and thread the first bead back onto the pin.

-
3
Repeat for each bead on the pin.
-
4
Allow the glue to dry. Once the glue has dried, you will be ready to use your new cowl scarf pin.
