How to Make an Easy 3-String Friendship Bracelet
Friends find different ways to commemorate their bond, such as friendship bracelets. With three strings of embroidery floss, you can make matching bracelets for yourself and close friends. Give the bracelets as simple gifts or a way to stay connected when life pulls you away from each other, such as going to college.

1
Select three different color strands of embroidery floss. Craft stores will have a variety of colors and styles from which to choose. Cut 3 feet of each strand to use for your friendship bracelets.
-
2
Tie one end of each strand of floss to the top of the clipboard. Pull the remaining portion of the floss straight and separate each piece. You should have three straight lines of each color in front of you.

Weave the strand on the left over top the strand in the middle. Next, weave the strand on the right over both strands and bring it to the left. Pull the strands straight to keep them tight and keep them separated during the weaving.

4
Repeat the process of bringing the strand on the left over the strand in the middle, and then bring the strand on the right over top of both strands to place it on the left. Continue the process until you have woven all the floss together.

Tie the end of the floss into a knot. Use the scissors to cut three separate bracelets of equal length. Tie the bracelet ends together with enough space that you slip them over your wrist.
