Linking a Video Transcript
Digital videos can be captioned with transcript files. When a transcript file is written for a particular digital video, captions are programmed to display in sync with the media’s time code. Transcript files are commonly distributed in SUB, SRT, SUP, ASS and IDX format. If users want to link a transcript file with a digital video, they will need to make use of a media player application like Media Player Classic, GOM Player or VLC.
