How to Make a Zebra Print With a Puff Paint
Puff paint creates 3-D paint effects on paper or fabric projects. Puff paint gets the puff with the application of heat, which causes a chemical reaction in the paint. Without using heat, the paint will have a raised embossed look to it. Create a zebra print using puff paint on fabric for clothing, pillows or other fabric craft projects. For paper projects, simply replace the white fabric with blank white paper.

- White fabric
- Soup cans (optional)
- Pencil
- Puff paint pen, black
- Blow-dryer

Stretch the piece of white fabric out flat on the table. Secure the edges of the fabric with heavy soup cans to keep it pulled tight while you're working.

Lightly sketch out, using a pencil, the zebra pattern you want to create. Start at the upper left corner of the fabric and work downward to the lower left corner before moving on to the next column. Draw pairs of jagged unbroken lines down the fabric, forming branch-like shapes. Leave a space blank between the branch columns -- they will become the white portion of the zebra print.

Trace the pencil lines using the black puff paint pen. Fill in the branch shapes and leave the spaces white. Note that by the time you reach the bottom right corner, you should have a completed zebra print.

Turn a blow-dryer on low heat and hold it 3 to 5 inches above the print. Run the warm air over the entire pattern to activate the puffing effect in the paint.
