Instructions

    • 1

Spread the panties out on a flat work surface. Spread out cut pieces of ribbons on the panties in the desired design. Stretch out the waist of the panties before pinning ribbon along the waistband. Place some pieces of ribbon vertically along the thigh section of the panties. Tie some ribbons into bows and place them near the sides of the underwear. Insert straight pins to fasten ribbons to the underwear.

    • 2

Use colored thread to sew the ribbon to the panties. Choose a thread color that is the same or contrasts with the color of the ribbon. Thread the needle.

    • 3

Turn the underwear inside out. Sew a straight stitch along the center of the ribbon lengthwise to attach it to the panties. Stretch the waistband taut while stitching the ribbon to the waist. Sew the knot section of the ribbon bows to the underwear. Cut the thread once the end of the ribbon has been securely attached to the panties and make a knot to prevent unraveling. Repeat this process to sew all of the ribbon embellishments to the underwear.

    • 4

Remove all of the straight pins from the underwear.

Tips & Warnings

  • Sew decorative ribbons, such as beaded ribbon or vintage style lace ribbons to add more detail.

  • Fold the ribbon in half lengthwise before sewing it to create a unique style.

  • Needles are sharp, handle with care.
