How to Polish Scratches on a MacBook
Most MacBook users will find small scratches on the outside plastic shell of their MacBook. Scratches seem to be an inevitable part of owning one of these handy laptops. While the scratches won't affect the performance of your machine, the less-than-pristine look will occasionally cause some concern for certain MacBook owners. Several plastic polishers are available on the market, and Apple makes one specifically for their products, called iDrops. These products may not restore your MacBook to its original look, but it will reduce or eliminate some, if not all, of the smaller scratches, leaving you with a better-looking machine to enjoy.

Squeeze about three drops onto the scratch that is on your MacBook. Rub the drops in with a soft cotton rag using moderate pressure. Move the rag in the direction of the scratch. Rub for about 10 to 15 seconds.

Examine the scratch. You will probably need to repeat the previous steps several more times to restore the surface of the MacBook as much as possible. It could take up to a half hour to fully restore the scratches.
