How to Make a Wedding Dress Look Like a Fairy Costume
A wedding dress is the perfect canvas for making an adult fairy costume. The basic white fabric and silhouette gives lots of versatility to creating a one-of-a-kind fairy costume. You only need to make a few adjustments to the wedding gown to make it into a costume. - Bridal tulle

Alter the wedding dress by removing decals and frills that you don't wish to see on the fairy costume. Use a seam ripper and nail scissors to remove lace appliques, ruffles and bows from the gown, for example.

Remove the sleeves of the wedding gown if you like. Use a seam ripper to carefully remove each arm. Trim any stray fibers with scissors.

Shorten the wedding dress using hem tape to make a sexy fairy costume. Shorten the train by shredding it into several strips using scissors. This gives the costume a wild or free-spirited appearance.

Create a sash with bridal tulle. Throw tulle over one shoulder and tie it at the opposite hip. Secure it in place with a flower or brooch. Choose from a variety of fairy colors for the tulle, including pinks and purples.

Spray fabric glitter onto the wedding dress to make it shimmer like a fairy.
