How to Make a Professional Style Table in Google Docs

Google Docs is a free, web-based software suite that enables you to create documents, spreadsheets, databases and artwork using a series of online applications. Google Docs includes much of the same functionality found in Microsoft Office, including the ability to help you create professional tables to display your data. You can use options in Google Docs to give your table a title, colored cell backgrounds, unique fonts and other characteristics that can give your table a professional look.

Instructions

    • 2

Type your Google account username and password into the text fields on the right of the page, then click the "Sign in" button.

    • 3

Click the "Create New" button on the left side of the page and select "Document."

    • 4

Click the "Table" menu, select "Insert Table" and select the number of columns and rows you want in the table. Do this by dragging your cursor through the grid.

Click to place your cursor on the line of text above the table and type your table title.

    • 6
