Whether you're out in humid weather or putting stress on your dreadlocks by overwashing them or wearing hats, dreadlock frizz is unflattering and can be a nightmare.       Take a dime-size amount of an essential oil and work it into your frizz. Use a fragrance that you like as dreadlocks retain odors for a long time.

      Wrap the frizz around your dreadlock, binding it to the dreadlock with the essential oil. If the oil isn't strong enough to keep the frizz adhered to your locks, use a small amount of dreadlock wax to bind the frizz to the lock.

      Go to a loctician – a stylist who works with dreadlocks – once every three months to have your locks retrained and your frizz either clipped out or bonded to your dreadlocks.
