A canvas might be an ideal spot for guest signatures.

When guests come to a wedding or reception to help the happy couple celebrate their marriage, it's customary to have the guests sign a guest book to record who attended the festivities. Instead of a standard guest book, be creative and make a canvas for guests to sign. After the ceremony and celebration conclude, frame and hang the canvas as a lasting memory of a special day.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a framed canvas from an art supply store in a size large enough to hold all of your guests' signatures. A 16-inch square is large enough to hold 50 to 75 signatures.

    • 2

Write “Guest Canvas” in bold letters across the top of the canvas using permanent markers so guests know that you want them to sign the canvas.

    • 3

Set the easel up in a central location where guests will see it.

    • 4

Place the framed canvas on the easel and set the permanent markers near the canvas for guests to use to sign the canvas.

    • 5

Ask a guest to sign the guest canvas as the first signer. This provides an example on the canvas for other guests to follow.

    • 6

Frame the canvas after the wedding and hang it in a special spot in your home.
