How to Make Felt Gloves
Whether you need quick warmth for your hands or want to make a costume, make felt gloves. Felt gloves are very soft, but they hold in some warmth during cool nights. They are beneficial because they can be constructed quickly without many materials and are inexpensive to make. You do not need to be a professional tailor or even own a sewing machine. Felt gloves require a quick hand stitch and they are ready to wear.

1
Place the wrong side of a felt piece on a level surface. Position your right palm flat on the felt and spread your fingers.
-
2
Trace the outline of your fingers on the felt, using a marker. Leave a 1/2-inch border around your fingers to adjust for the seam. Place the wrong side of a felt piece on the opposite side of the felt with the traced outline. Both of the wrong sides should face outward.

3
Pin the two felt pieces together along the outline of your palm. The pins secures the two felt pieces together and ensure they do not move. Cut through both pieces of felt along the outline of your palm.

4
Cut a piece of thread to a 3-foot length. Insert one end of thread through the eye of a sewing needle. Pull the thread through the eye of the needle. Tie the ends of the thread together to make a knot. Make a total of three knots.

5
Sew through both pieces of felt along the outer edges. Start above the left outer edge of the glove. Continue until the entire outer edges of the felt pieces are sewn. Tie the ends of the thread together to make a knot. Make a total of three knots. Cut the excess thread, using scissors. Do not sew the bottom edge of the felt pieces. The head goes through the bottom edge of the felt pieces.

6
Flip the felt gloves, so the right sides of the felt face outward. Insert your hand to make sure it fits inside the glove. Repeat the steps for the other hand.
