What Are the Steps on How to Decorate a Wedding Reception Table?

Weddings are happy occasions.

A lot of planning and preparation goes into a wedding so that the ceremony goes off smoothly and is memorable. One of the most important aspects of the wedding is the decoration. The decorating is not limited to the chapel but also the reception hall as well. The decor at the reception matches the theme and color schemes of the rest of the wedding. Before the reception, each table must be decorated.

Instructions

1. Choose the linen. White is by far the most common color for tablecloths, but use colored cloths if you want to add flair to your reception.

2. Add runners. Run lace, streamers, cloth strips or ribbons across the center of the table for added elegance.

3. Place the centerpieces. Choose centerpieces that go along with your decorative theme. Common choices are small flower bouquets appropriate to the season, enclosed candles, sculptures and bowls of candy.

4. Sprinkle the tables. Spread small amounts of glitter, confetti, decorative stones, flower petals or wedding candy across the center of the table.
