How to Get Words With Friends on iPod Touch

Play Word With Friends on your iPod touch.

The iPod touch offers a plethora of gaming applications, including Words With Friends, a game similar to Scrabble. Use the application to challenge other iPhone and iPod touch users, or friends who have the app on Facebook. Both a free and paid version of the game is available for download, and once either is on your device it remains until you delete it. If an update becomes available, the App Store application will alert you -- updates are always free.

Instructions

1. Connect your iPod Touch to a wireless Internet connection. Tap the blue "App Store" icon on the device's home screen.

2. Choose the "Search" icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the App Store screen.

3. Type "Words With Friends" into the search field at the top of the screen and tap the blue "Search" button.

4. Tap either the paid or free "Words With Friends" search result. The paid version requires a small one-time fee. The free version provides exactly the same features, but shows an advertisement in between rounds of play.

5. Tap the icon displaying the price of the application and then "Buy Now" to get the paid version. Tap "Free" and then "Install" to get the free version. Enter your Apple ID and password, when prompted, to begin the download. When the download is complete, an icon for the application appears on the last page of your home screen.
