No matter how well you protect your windows during home renovations, accidents happen. Wet concrete can easily splatter onto windows, siding and doors, even when handled by professionals. It’s easier to remove these splatters when the concrete is still wet, but if you cannot get to them in time and the concrete dries, it can still be removed. Scraping dried concrete off of glass windows is time consuming since you have to be very careful not to scratch the windows in the process. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Plastic scraper
  • Glass cleaner

Instructions

      Hold the scraper with the flat section parallel to the window. Angle the blade 45 degrees towards the window and the dried concrete splatter.

      Gently scrape upwards from the bottom of each splatter. Only scrape in one direction to avoid scratching the window. Repeat until each section of dried concrete has been removed.

      Spray the window with a thin layer of glass cleaner. Wipe with paper towels until the glass is clean and shiny. This will also remove any remaining concrete residue.

  • Wear a mask to avoid breathing in dried concrete dust.
