How to Add an E-mail Link to a Web Page Using Netscape Composer

Use Netscape Composer to create an e-mail link that visitors to your site can use to contact you through.

Things You'll Need:

• Netscape Composer

1. Start Composer and choose Open from the File menu. Locate the page you want and double-click to open it.

2. Position the cursor where the e-mail link will appear.

3. From the File menu, choose Insert and select Link, or click the Link button on the toolbar.

4. Enter the text to be displayed for the link. For example, the text might read: "E-mail me!"

5. Replace [e-mail] with your address mailto:[e-mail] in the Link To box.

6. Save the file and click on the Preview button to view it in the Netscape Navigator browser.

7. Connect to the Internet and click on the link to verify that it leads to the correct address.

• Add an e-mail link to an image, such as a mailbox, by double-clicking on the image and choosing the Link tab in the box that appears.
