How to Add an E-mail Link to a Web Page Using Netscape Composer

Use Netscape Composer to create an e-mail link that visitors to your site can use to contact you through.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Netscape Composer
  1. Step 1

    Start Composer and choose Open from the File menu. Locate the page you want and double-click to open it.

  2. Step 2

    Position the cursor where the e-mail link will appear.

  3. Step 3

    From the File menu, choose Insert and select Link, or click the Link button on the toolbar.

  4. Step 4

    Enter the text to be displayed for the link. For example, the text might read: "E-mail me!"

  5. Step 5

    Replace email@email.com with your address mailto:email@email.com in the Link To box.

  6. Step 6

    Save the file and click on the Preview button to view it in the Netscape Navigator browser.

  7. Step 7

    Connect to the Internet and click on the link to verify that it leads to the correct address.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add an e-mail link to an image, such as a mailbox, by double-clicking on the image and choosing the Link tab in the box that appears.
