How to Make Papers Print Sideways on Open Office

Open Office Writer offers you a powerful word processing program, packaged in a free open-source suite. Writer's wealth of available features available lets your write your papers however best suites your personal style. If you include tables or figures in your paper, you might find the default portrait mode is ill-equipped to print them on a single sheet. No problem. Writer allows you to change the layout to landscape mode, which lets you print your papers sideways on the paper.

Instructions

1. Open your paper in Open Office Writer.

2. Click "Format" in the top menu and select "Page."

3. Click "Landscape" in the Orientation section of the "Page" tab.

4. Click "OK" to change the orientation to landscape mode.

5. Hold the "Ctrl" key, press "P" and click "OK" to print your paper sideways.
