How to Make 3D People From Photos
Three-dimensional image effects can be produced in a number of ways. Anaglyph images use two almost identical images to produce the illusion of depth in an image. But you can also simulate (to an extent) a 3D effect on a single image by adjusting the background in the image. This is easily done in any number of photo-editing applications, such as Photoshop. Photoshop Elements and GIMP.

Load the photo you want to edit onto your computer, either by scanning in a printed copy or by copying it directly from a digital source, such as a camera.

Start your image-editing software. Click “File” in the menu at the top and click “Open.” Locate and open the photo you loaded.

Select the “Lasso” tool from the toolbar (in GIMP use the “Free Selection” tool). Use it to select the people in the foreground. If the people are not connected, after selecting the first person, hold down the “Shift” key before you start selecting the second person.

Click “Select” In the menu and click “Inverse” (in GIMP click “Invert”).

Adjust the “Radius” in the dialog until you like the effect in the preview. Click “OK.” Save your work.
