How to Lock the Wheels on a Kettler Tricycle
Kettler USA produces a range of backyard toys and children's tricycles. Most Kettler tricycles are made with a push handle, designed for parents to push the young ones on the trike with minimal fuss. As a safety measure, Kettler equips many of the tricycles with locks and brakes to help control the tricycle when stopping or moving. Locking the wheels is a quick and simple procedure.

1
Bring the Kettler tricycle to a complete stop. Go to the front of the trike.
-
2
Align the front wheel so it is straight out from the tricycle.

-
3
Push down on the rectangle-shaped button on the front of the head tube on the tricycle. This locks the front wheel so the tricycle only has a +/- 3 degree range of turn or front/back movement.

Push up on the button to release the wheel lock and regain the tricycle's full range of movement.
