How to Make a Halloween Dinner
Turn an ordinary dinner into a Halloween culinary spookfest. Do this by modifying regular dishes to appear more Halloween-ish. For example, green noodles and Alfredo sauce can look like brains or worms. Olives and green peppers add a touch of “mold” to bread, salad and potatoes. A sprinkle of white cheese creates more mold. The right use of colors is what makes the food Halloween-like. Host the dinner on Halloween or any time during October. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Prepare the gelatin in the saucepan according to the directions. Most gelatin recipes require you to boil water and dissolve the powder. Grease the bowl or mold with cooking spray. Pour the gelatin into the bowl or mold. Drop the cubed melon into the mold. Place the mold or bowl in the refrigerator. Leave it in there until the gelatin is firm (about three hours). Flip the bowl on to the platter so the rounded part faces upward. The melon will be in the mold.

Fill the cooking pot half full of water. Add six to eight drops of green food coloring to the water. Boil the water and cook the spaghetti noodles. The noodles will turn green. Drain the cooked noodles in a strainer. Pour the Alfredo sauce and precooked shredded chicken in a saucepan. Add the noodles to the pan. Heat the pan. The sauce will turn somewhat greenish. Turn off the stove burner once the contents of the pan are hot.
