Lip-shaped pillows can add a sassy vibe to a teenage girl's bedroom, or they can serve as romantic Valentine's Day gifts. You can save some money by sewing your own sultry lip pillow craft. Once you get the hang of making a lip-shaped pillow, you may wish to experiment with making pillows in a variety of sizes, textures, colors and patterns.

1
Trace two lip-shaped designs onto a fabric of your choosing using a Sharpie. Enlarge the template to whatever size you want your final pillow to be; enlarging to 300 percent is average. Cut out both lip-shaped pieces when you have finished tracing.
-
2
Use double-sided tape to attach the two lip-shaped pieces together while you sew around the edges, leaving a 1/2-inch seam and a 4-inch opening at both corners of the lips. If your fabric is two-sided, put the side that you want to use for your final pillow on the inside.

3
Cut small slits into the seam along the upper curves and corners of the lips and trim the seam down to 1/4 inch except along the two openings.
-
4
Turn the pillow right-side out.
-
5
Cut a piece of paper that is the same size as the sewn lip shape and draw a line down the center representing the break between the upper and lower lip. Line the tracing paper up with the fabric and tape it down. Stitch through the tracing paper and fabric along the center line. Gently rip away the tracing paper when you have finishing sewing, leaving only the stitching.
-
6
Stuff both ends of the lips with polyester stuffing through the openings in the corners. Introduce small amounts of the stuffing at a time, smoothing as you go to prevent lumping. Stitch the openings shut.
