How to Use Curlers and Pins
Curlers may have been vastly replaced with curling irons, but curlers and pins still have an advantage — they are much less damaging than hot irons. Curlers are safe for all hair types — from dry and damaged to colored and processed. They produce big, soft curls that can be worn for special occasions, or even loose and casual during the day. One of the most beloved hair tools of the 1950s and 1960s is making a comeback. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Wash your hair and pat dry with a towel. Your hair should be damp before you use curlers to set your hair.

2
Pick up a 3-inch section of hair and place the roller underneath it. Press the hair into the Velcro roller.
-
-
3
Pull the roller out from the head until it catches on the tips of the hair strands.
-
4
Roll the curler toward the head, winding the hair around the outside of the curler.
-
5
Secure a pin or curler clip at the scalp where the roller meets the base of the hair strands.
-
6
Allow your hair to dry — with curlers in place — before you remove the curlers from your hair.
